The beginning of sorrows and the Great Tribulation are coming! There will be wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in
various places. Things all over the world will decay, weather changes, floods, heat waves, drought, wild fires, volcanoes,
major earthquakes, famines, pestilences, new diseases and very slow economies. This will set the stage for two
leaders to come.
The first is the Antichrist. He will bring peace to the
Middle East and set up his kingdom in Jerusalem. They will share the
temple and do the daily sacrifice and offerings. He will be able
to perform miracles. People will think he is the Messiah, the Christ.
After
he sets up his kingdom and they start doing the daily sacrifices, God sends his two witnesses to stop them. No man can kill
these two witnesses or hurt them until they have finished their preaching. These two will proclaim Jesus is Lord, that
Jesus is the true Christ. These two witnesses are Christians and will tell the Antichrist and the people that they should
stop doing the daily sacrifices that they are not to be done anymore. These two have power to shut heaven so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have powers
over the waters to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with all plagues as often as they desire.
Because the people will not repent and stop doing the daily sacrifices, these
two witnesses will do like Moses did with Pharaoh in the 7th – 11th chapters of Exodus.
Moses turned the waters, rivers, lakes into blood, the fish died and the waters and land stank. He did the plague of
frogs, plague of lice, plague of flies, plague on cattle, plague of boils, plague of hail and fire mingled with hail, crops
were destroyed, plague of locusts, plague of darkness, plague of the death of the first born even down to the first born of
the cattle died. And like Elijah in 1st Kings Chapter 17 Elijah stopped it from raining for three years
and this caused a severe famine. He was able to call fire down from heaven as well. He also raised the dead and parted the
waters. The Jewish people should recognize these plagues are from God because they are the same plagues that God used
to bring them out of Egypt.
Then the second leader, the false prophet, will come and kill the two witnesses and leave their
bodies in the streets of Jerusalem for all to see. He and the first leader will declare war against Christians. He will also make
an image unto the first leader. He will also implement what the bible calls the mark of the beast. You will not
be able to buy or sell unless you have the mark. He will cause all,
both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads. The
bible says only true Christians will not take the mark of the beast.
The bible also says “If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand,
he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation,
He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And
the smoke of their torment ascends up forever and ever; they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image,
and whoever receives the mark of his name”.
People need to realize that this is coming and prepare for it. The most important way to prepare for it is by accepting
Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You also need to pray and ask God for guidance on other ways to prepare. But if
Jesus is not your Lord and Savior, the bible says you will succumb to the mark of the beast and suffer forever. There
will be shortages of food and many other items you use each day.
